FAQ
- Is the Everyday Matcha suitable for making lattes?
- Yes — it works both straight (whisked with 60ml of 70°C water) and as a latte base. For lattes, whisk 2g with 30ml of water to a smooth paste before adding 150ml of steamed milk.
- What does first-flush mean?
- First-flush (ichibancha) refers to the first harvest of the year, taken in late April to early May after 25–30 days of shading. These are the youngest, most amino-acid-rich leaves. Second and third flushes produce more astringent leaves used for culinary grades.
- How does this compare to the Organic Matcha?
- The Everyday Matcha Blend is ceremonial-grade — designed for straight drinking with a bolder, sweeter flavour profile. The Organic Matcha is JAS-certified organic and more versatile across preparation styles, with a slightly cleaner, milder character.
- How long does a 30g tin last?
- At 1.5g per serving, 30g yields approximately 20 servings. For daily morning matcha, that is roughly three weeks of use. Refrigerator storage is not required — keep in a cool, dark cupboard away from heat sources.
