FAQ
- Is the Organic Matcha suitable for lattes?
- Yes, it works just as well as a latte base. Simply sift 1.5g, whisk with 60ml of hot water (70°C) using a chasen until frothy, then top with steamed milk of your choice.
- What does first harvest mean?
- First harvest (ichibancha) refers to the first picking of the year, in late April to early May, after 25 to 30 days of shading. These are the youngest, most nutrient-rich leaves. Later harvests produce more astringent leaves better suited to baking and cooking.
- What makes the Organic Matcha special?
- Our Organic Matcha is JAS certified organic — meaning controlled cultivation without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, verified under the Japanese Agricultural Standard. For those who care about where their matcha comes from and how it is grown.
